HIBERNATE, CELEBRATE, PARTICIPATE

Actual snow fell over the weekend to join the stuff being made on the mountains, and it finally feels like winter. We’ve got a great FLASH SALE (book one night, get a second night free) on until January 20th/MLK Day for anyone needing respite, a recharge or just a bit of time outdoors. Give us a call or email for more details.

There are plenty of excellent distractions and attractions in Brattleboro to get you through the next few weeks, including the annual Harris Hill SkiJump, events at Out in the Open free Jazz Nights at the Retreat Farm and this years Grrrls to the Front series at the Stone Church. Brattleboro Winter Carnival celebrates its 69th anniversary in February (NOICE!) and winter hiking (and hopefully some snowshoeing and cross-country skiing and ice skating) opportunities abound. If you would like a list of places/things to do tailored to your interests, email us at stay@theonecatvermont.com.

We’ve got a challenging year or so ahead, so have some fun while we all work together to weather the coming storm. Don’t forget to sign up to do what you can in your own community, and to give what you can to those needing help. And celebrate the many heroes here and around the world. Firefighters in SoCal, MSF in Gaza and around the world, genuine journalists risking their lives to bring us the truth.
