WELCOME TO THE MEWSLETTER

We’ll be using this space to tell you what’s happening at the One Cat and in Brattleboro and the surrounding area and we’ll be giving plenty of suggestions for what to do when you visit our excellent little town.

The holidays are coming in fast and this year there are more great chances to shop local and find some very special gifts than ever before. Things kick off on Plaid Friday, November 29th, when businesses will be offering great deals all day. (We’re doing a “Book 2 nights – get a 3rd night free” special.)

The weekend of December 6, 7 and 8 is when things really get wonderful. Winter Gallery Walk will be offering plenty of art all over town, and Holly Days/Holly Nights brings a weekend of incredible bargains. Downtown Brattleboro has an amazing number – and variety – of independent shops to peruse, all within a 10 minute walk from the One Cat.

That weekend also heralds the first of 3 weekends featuring a pop-up Market on Main. Over 60 vendors will be showcasing and selling local crafts and food in what promises to be a festive atmosphere. We can’t wait!

When you have shopped until almost dropping, sit a spell with a hot drink at Mocha Joe’s or, if you are starting to feel hangry, grab some coffee/tea and lunch at Amy’s. Need something a little stronger? Well, Brattleboro couldn’t go to the mountain, so the mountain came to us! Grab a beer or glass of wine and try the chicken sandwich at the spanking new Snow Republic.

Feeling ready to relax for a bit longer while also meeting some locals? Head underground to Midnight’s or overground to check out the offerings while having a drink at the bar in the Heart Rose Club. Or stay at street level and pop into the Tower.
