Overgrown front garden

WOW, WHAT A SIMMERING SUMMER!

There are still a few available nights sprinkled through August if you fancy a late-summer break.

Our already vibrant downtown is better than ever with the addition of Halo Hollow.  Check out Sages Pub for a truly great cocktail experience, and watch out for last-minute events like roller disco nights and pop-up tastings. Go see Matt at the Oyster Bar, newly enlarged but with the same tasty sea snacks and convivial atmosphere.

First Fridays/Gallery Walk continues through October and the Retreat Farm’s weekly Food Truck Roundup bring energy, music and food through August and up until September 3rd. Like music? Nearly-nightly, mostly free entertainment at Marigold and a regular schedule of local talent at Midnight’s to big nights out at the Stone Church, impromptu sessions at the Tower and some truly fabulous performances and events at Epsilon Spires, music is everywhere. The Brattleboro Music Center and Vermont Jazz Center are only a short drive from the town center. Venture a bit further to Next Stage in Putneyfor a varied menu of entertainment.

BOOKSTORES, you say?  We have SIX – plus an excellent comic shop:

LOST TIME, BOOK LOVERS, EVERYONE’S BOOKS, BRATTLEBORO BOOKS, RAY GUN COMICS, ANTIDOTE BOOKS and BYWAY BOOKSand don’t miss TURN IT UP, with vinyl, CDs, DVDs and more.

Vintage, you say? We HAVE the vintage! Experienced Goods , Twice Upon a Time, Verdigris, Boomerang, and Morning Glorious all have their own ambience/offerings.

The Great Outdoors is all around us, with wonderful places to hike, bike, stroll, explore and to mess about on the rivers..

These are just a few reasons to come and stay with us. Contact us with questions for specific activities, places to visit and other questions.

Need a bit of solitude?  Stay in!

Your cozy quarters include a small but well-stocked library and the breakfast room doubles as a apace to play board games, watch movies, read, draw, knit or write. In the mood for some company but not of the human variety? Kitten Watson adores guests and loves to play (and, if she’s in the mood, mature kitty Piper has been known to keep quiet company on the sofa).

We are looking forward to meeting you soon.

You’d love to stay, but can’t make it this month? Our Gift Certificates are good on any available date(s) for a future stay.
