Brattleboro offers ample opportunities to get out!
In town, explore the Retreat Trails, which feature a cool tower, an Olympic-sized ski jump and a lovely farm with much-loved critters. For a leisurely stroll, the West River Trail is a flat, scenic walk along the river with ever-changing views. Across the Connecticut River is Wantastiquet, with a switchback trail that rewards with a spectacular view of Brattleboro.
Winter brings plenty of hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing a short drive from town. Visit the Brattleboro Outing Club for rentals/information about their trails.
